I’m not getting married any time soon. But that hasn’t stopped me from trying forward to seeing wedding dresses at Bridal Fashion Week every season. The same can be said for anyone who appreciates a breathtaking gown: You might not be anticipating a walk down the aisle in the near future, but you definitely wouldn’t mind getting swept up in the fairy tales imagined by bridal designers in the form of 40-foot trains and floral appliqués. Right now they’re focused on spring 2020—and they’re giving us plenty to look forward to. Lela Rose touts whimsical lace dresses; Reem Acra brings a heavenly display of tulle and chiffon; Amsale has classic gowns not unlike Meghan Markle’s own wedding dresses. In my head I’ve said yes to at least nine different gowns from the latest collection. Ahead, check out the best wedding dresses coming out of Bridal Fashion Week, just because.
Yes, 2018 was a very turbulent year. But—in case you were living under a rock—it also brought us some of the most epic weddings we’ve seen in a while. And with epic weddings come even a lot of lovely wedding dresses. With two royal weddings, and a slew of celeb “I dos,” it’s no wonder we were served some of the most beautiful wedding dress moments this year. Meghan Markle is a given, but we were also stunned by Princess Eugenie, Ashley Greene, Hillary Swank, Shanina Shaik, influencers Chiara Ferragni, and Rocky Barnes, and many more. But it’s not just celebrities who took our breath away this year, some real brides gave the red carpet a run for its money in stunning creations by Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Ralph & Russo, and even a few brides who designed their own dresses.
